Meeting for departure in front of the dormitory in Daegu together with the troop Samuel, Cedric and Fabian. From there we drive to the "Dongdaegu" station. At the "Lotte Car Rental" we are told that all cars are booked until Wednesday.

An adventure within an adventure begins...

Since Monday is a holiday, a road trip to the south will be made this weekend. The final destination is the German Village "Namhae", because there is the Korean Oktoberfest. This will be the first Oktoberfest I ever visit.
By the way, this is also where my contact and importer of Bembel-with-care apple wine comes from, the good Chulmin.
Also, the road trip idea quickly evaporated: there were no more cars.
Spoiler: Then we just train + cab.

Plan B: We go by KTX to Jinju, the southernmost possible station. On the southern islands you can then only get by cab / car.

We rattle off 2 more car rentals in Jinju. No chance.

Take cab to Namhae. We drive 2:30h.
And indeed, hidden behind a few trees on a hill:
Architecture, countryside, music - everything seems as if you are no longer in Korea and is very reminiscent of Germany - though not quite - funny translations, tourists & co. ground then again. Still, a beautiful little village and quite a bit going on here. There is beer, food and (pop) music in tents. In between, the Koreans also sing a "Prosit" every now and then.
By the way, we are the only Germans here. At least we have met no others despite search.

Helps nothing, hotel costs are saved and spent the night at a covered bus stop. However, this works cold and Bequemlichkeintsbedingt as well as you imagine.

We give up and start the return journey on foot with a stopover at a "GS25". When we reach a port in the morning, we at least watch a beautiful sunrise. Loosely 50000 steps are destroyed in 3 hours of walking.

We drive back to Jinju in serpentine lines with several buses.
Almost 30h awake. The rest of Sunday was slept and on Monday also made nothing special, except cure a cold. Nevertheless super experience and beer mug secured!
Anniversary at the KNU

Back in Daegu, a festival was held on our campus to celebrate the annual anniversary of KNU. On the campus, there was a small "Kerwe" festival with several food stalls and carnival machines (punch, shooting machines and even a large carousel like a tumbler).
This is where the evenings were spent after the university day from Wednesday to Sunday. On weekends there were even concerts. Because all tickets for Saturday were sold out, we went here instead to downtown and performed there, but Sunday, 09.10.2022, we went to the grand finale of the „Daegu KPOP re:Start 2022“ concert with PSY as the final act. Just then, unfortunately, it rained heavily, but we didn't let that get us down.
The next day was a long weekend, which we used for a longer trip to the south to the Jinju mentioned at the beginning.
