Off to the beach
08.09.2022 – Thursday:
Directly extended weekend: The "Chuseok Holidays". Thursday I went by KTX in ~1h to Busan after the lectures and directly by bus to the booked "Kimchi Hostel" together with Samuel, Cedric and Stefan. At the hostel we unloaded our stuff and went directly to the beach "Haeundae Beach" at dusk.
We enjoy this with a few beers, jump briefly into the water and let us directly again by the civil service rauswinken (swimming after 18:00 is prohibited). After that we go to 3 o'clock a few bars incl. the soon familiar "Thursday Party" as the final stop abklappern.
"Our stuff": For short trips, etc. was usually taken only a backpack with the bare necessities, so that it is just enough for the (extended) weekends. The dormitory could be used wonderfully as a "base camp" to not have to drag huge suitcases around all the time.
We also discover:
In many bars in Korea, especially the "Thursday Party" - chain, there are beer pong tables, dart boards, table soccer and and and.
Really cool what you can do here besides everything. A round of beer pong costs around 15€ and no more!
And for the fact that it is everywhere, the Koreans can beer pong not even so good ^^.
09.09.2022 – Friday:
We travel in the morning by subway to the "One way guesthouse" hostel as a place to stay until Monday. There we meet with other internationals and go in the evening to 12th Korean BBQ eat.
After that we go through the city center, visit street food and arcades and finally stay at the "Jagalchi" - port with convenience store Soju-Energy until 4 o'clock.
We also visit a karaoke bar and a Photo Point, shoot us a souvenir, which I skillfully lose the same evening.
10.09.2022 – Saturday:
At 11 a.m., our Busan group first has homemade gyosa & French toast for breakfast. Today we have a lot on the agenda: First we visit Busan Central Park and enjoy the view from Busan Tower.
Afterwards we go to the "Handong Culture Village" to see the old buildings of the city. Then we went home again. But not to the hostel - to downtown in various clubs and as the final stops "Thursday Party" and "Groove Bar". Here, however, we also do not have so much choice, because so full in the city is and one as a foreigner partly not in local clubs hineindarf. Well, then we just meet with various internationals and go with them there to dance and celebrate. Today we go to bed early: 5 o'clock in the morning.
11.09.2022 – Sunday:
A faction of our troop meets Lim in Busan at 1 pm and we watch a baseball game of the "Lotte Giants" against the "NC-Dinosaurs" of the 1st league from 2 to 8 pm. Here is really hell going on - baseball has become the national sport of the Koreans, also infiltrated by America. Among spectators here is sung and party made.
The beer in the stadium also costs only 2.50€! Of course, this is also exploited first.
Since we are all quite exhausted it then actually goes to bed at a humane time; After a relaxing round of billiards Germany vs. France in the hostel basement.
12.09.2022 – Monday:
Today a few of our troop hike through the southern mountains of Busan. We start at 9 o'clock and stow our stuff in the hostel luggage room, because here it may stay longer and we have so no time pressure.
There are 25000 steps on about 800 meters of altitude and 9 kilometers. We are about 5h on the way and sweat in the sauna of the Korean climate. There are a lot of (older) Koreans on the way, who overtake us talking and smiling. We are felt the only internationals and under 30. The view was still worth it. Afterwards we go back to the city, get something from the Lotteria, the Korean Burgerking, pick up our things and get the last seats on the express train to Daegu. Off home and back to the university.
