Korea Semester Abroad 14: Daegu Speedrun & Farewells

Daegu one last time
26.12.2022 – Monday
Now we are also traveling back to Daegu.
Over the next four days, Samuel and I have a few farewell meetings with Korean friends from the last four months. Today we meet up again with Tobi, together with Jakub, another German friend from our KNU days, who is staying for another semester, and Anja, accompanied by her boyfriend Markus.
Farewells part 1
27.12.2022 – Tuesday
Samuel, Jonathan & I go to Seoumun Market with Tobi and Jakub in the morning and eat lots of traditional food. Afterwards, we go to Suseongmot Lake again.
In the evening, we say our first goodbyes to 장 선빈 (Josh), 황 혜린 (Hyerin) and 김 민석(Minseok). We have dinner with them, drink heavily and sing karaoke until, er, 5am or something.
Hyerin and Josh even bought a farewell cake for us ;_;
Farewells part 2 & 3
28.12.2022 – Wednesday
10 am... It doesn't help, I have to get up because I have a farewell lunch with 김 민지, a Korean friend from the "Korea in Motion" group. 0.5l O-juice Exen and off to "Banwoldang Station", where we meet up. The agreed restaurant is full and we switch to another one with Korean noodles. Afterwards we go to a café. We talk a lot about the semester, living abroad and promise to see each other again. Then we go our separate ways. Straight to the Airbnb bed for me, because I have some sleep to catch up on. Unfortunately (or fortunately), we say goodbye to two other Koreans (the "mafia" 윤 and 김 동호) via text message because they're not in Daegu. Quite good for me because I get more sleep. Last night really hit the spot.
29.12.2022 – Thursday
We meet up with Tobi in Dalseong Park to visit the zoo there. We see lions, brown bears, elephants etc. Here, however, I have to say quite clearly that it was not so nice. The animals are away from their natural habitat in very small enclosures in cold weather. Oh well.
In the evening, another farewell with two Korean friends: 구 기연, 윤 찬희
